Viren graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2007 and has a breadth of experience from working in general practice, post-graduate training in hospital dentistry and carrying out research to stay at the forefront of dentistry. Following training posts in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry, in 2009, he gained membership of the faculty of dental surgeons with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
Viren works in general and specialist practice and has successfully completed his four year specialist training program in periodontics at King’s College, Guy’s Hospital London, passing with clinical distinction.
He has a special interest in treating nervous patients with advanced gum disease, cosmetic root coverage for gum recession and regenerative periodontics.
Viren has worked as a specialty dentist and honorary research fellow at Birmingham Dental Hospital managing patients with gum problems, teaching undergraduate dental students and treating patients on a referral basis.
His research has been published internationally. Viren is passionate about Periodontics and with his experience in cosmetic and restorative dentistry he is able to use advanced technology and skills to provide the very best for his patients. He takes pride in providing a caring, relaxed, but professional approach for all his patients. Viren is also passionate about education. He is joint secretary for British Dental Association Coventry & Warwickshire section.
He accepts referrals for:
- Treatment of gum disease, both surgical and non surgical
- Corrective surgical procedures and regenerative techniques including grafting of gums and bone
- Management and correction of gum disease around implants
- Assessment of suitability for implants in periodontal patients
- Cosmetic surgical gum procedures
